This is a sample of one of our Alta Heights Adventure Time newsletters: WELCOME TO ANOTHER SCHOOL YEAR! Hi, everyone! How was your summer? We were busy creating some great art projects, going bowling, and we had some great workshops such as keyboarding, drawing, cooking, and sports. We look forward to a great year renewing old friendships and meeting new friends. We have lots of activities and projects planned. Our September THEMES Were Shake, Rattle, and Roll Viva la France Autumn Equinox Let's Get Messy We made Spin Art with the kids and then framed their work, danced to some old rock-and-roll, learned new parachute games and did tie-dying. K-Time We have a small group of Ks in the morning. They are getting used to the routine of A.T. and having fun playing Legos, learning new computer games, and doing projects. Our October THEMES are Rock, Paper, Scissors Marvelous Mexico Falling Forward Crazy Concoctions Creature Feature During October we are creating abstract pictures and miniature sombreros, enchiladas, salsa, and churros. We are learning various soccer skills, and making papier-mache masks for our annual HALLOWEEN PARTY during Creature Feature Weeks Just a few reminders: - If your child will not be attending Adventure Time, please call and let us know; your child's safety is our number one concern. - We have a lost and found box beside the sign-in/out book.
